Hypervolt vs Theragun Whis is better ?
Massages are typical for professional athletes such as runners, cyclists, or soccer players but are still a luxury for the rest of the people. The good news is that you can now easily buy efficient massage tools to use at home. The Hyperice Hypervolt and the Theragun G3PRo are currently the two best-selling regeneration tools on the market. Both implement the same basic idea but offer significant differences in their designs. The Hypervolt, which was introduced at the beginning of last year, scores in comparison to the first two Theraguns with minimal volume, but when model number three of the percussive therapy system was presented, which should be 50% quieter than the two predecessors, the end-user now asks which provider the better end product offers!
Hypervolt vs Theragun
According to studies, hand massage tools and fascia rolls are very effective for “wounds” in muscles. Both the Hypervolt and the G3PRo use percussive therapy to warm up and cool down the body. Both tools are relatively similar in shape and weight and are easy to use via an on and off button. It is recommended to treat each muscle group for 15 seconds before training, up to two minutes after exercise. Both devices are also charged via a standard charging cable via the mains socket and have a small status display installed. The Theragun offers two speeds, the Hypervolt three levels. In terms of feeling, both are pretty similar in comparison and make noises when the device is pressed harder on the muscle.
To find out whether either the Theragun or the Hypervolt is the right tool for you, we compare the latest models of both in terms of several features and competitions.
Hypervolt vs Theragun – The Desing
According to users, an informative survey (Gear Patrol) found that the Theragun felt more natural in hand. The on/off switch is logical; the handle’s ergonomics appear to be very useful. The three different angles of the arm offer additional reach so that, for example, the upper part of the back can also be reached without any problems. The smooth, pleasant surface of the material is also noticeable during use.
The Hypervolt was just the opposite, according to the survey – clunky and a little awkward. The battery, which doubles as a handle, has a diameter of over five centimetres, which is a bit of a disadvantage in terms of comfort when used for a long time, especially for consumers with small hands. Switching on the Hypervolt takes place in two steps: first, the on / off switch on the bottom of the battery must be pressed, then level 1 can be started using the button on the ventilation. To make settings on the tool, two hands are always required, which is somewhat unnatural and therefore annoying for the user.
There is a transport case for both devices, but this is unnecessary because the tools can easily be carried in the sports bag without them.
Winner | Theragun G3Pro – Natural ergonomics and an intuitive user interface.
Hypervolt vs Theragun – The Sound
According to the manufacturer, the brand new G3Pro is 50% quieter than the two predecessors of the Theragun, which were extremely loud and sounded more like a hammer drill than an efficient massage tool. Therefore, the current model is much quieter and more pleasant to use, while the strength has not decreased. The Hypervolt makes noises when the pressure is increased during use but is more reminiscent of a razor’s hum. You can still have a pleasant conversation with your counterpart without having to scream. In comparison, the G3Pro is significantly louder.
Winner | Hypervolt for an acceptable noise level even in a quiet environment
Hypervolt vs Theragun – The Charging
Comparing the charging of the two devices is pretty tricky because the process is quite cumbersome for both. The Theragun is supplied with two battery packs. There is a charging station for the packs and a power supply unit that provides the necessary power when connected. This is less of a problem at home because there you can look for a permanent and permanent place to shop. On the way, however, the whole thing becomes problematic and time-consuming. Similar to a drill, the battery snaps into and out of the more oversized handle. The advantage is that you can swap it for the second battery without having to charge it directly. If the Theragun has dropped to below 50% battery level after 20 hours of use, it switches off automatically and has to be recharged. At this point, it makes sense to
With the Hypervolt, the battery also serves as a handle in which the battery is stored and inserted into a three-part device. This is very similar to Theragun. There’s an AC power cord, power adapter, and another cord to plug everything in and charge. Although Hypervolt comes with only one battery, this is more than enough. After a month of complete and intensive use, the tool still does its best job without being reloaded.
Winner | Hypervolt for a better battery and problem-free use when testing.
Hypervolt vs Theragun – The Feeling
Larger muscle groups, such as those in the entire legs, are easier to treat with both devices than small muscle groups. The different attachments included in the scope of delivery of both tools can only help to a limited extent. The problem is that everybody reacts differently to vibrations and oscillations and perceives them, depending on the brain. Nobody can develop a clear advantage with this test since the perception and pain sensation are different. While some can quickly treat hyper volt at level 3, others reach their limits at level 1. So this test ends in a draw. There is no clear winner.
Winner | Tied due to the different perception of vibrations in people
Hypervolt vs Theragun – The bottom line
While the Theragun has an ergonomic design and better usability, the Hypervolt scores above all have minimal volume and lower price. If more attachments and optics are more important to you, you don’t mind a little more noise, and the price only plays a limited role, then the Theragun is just right for you. Alternatively, the Hypervolt is not a worse massage tool either. Both serve the same purpose on almost the same level!

hypervolt vs theragun vs tim tam
All New Power Massagegeräts genießen.
